During my recent business trip to Fiskebackskil, I had the pleasure of staying at Gullmarsstrand Hotell & Konferens. With the hotel being chosen by my director, I was already expecting a high level of quality and service. I was not disappointed. the stunning location right on the coast provided breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. It was a wonderful way to unwind after a long day of meetings. , the hotel's infinity pool was an absolute delight. Although it was winter, the pool was heated and available all year round. I enjoyed a relaxing swim while enjoying the picturesque scenery. It truly added a touch of luxury to my stay.
There was one minor issue that I encountered during my time at Gullmarsstrand Hotell & Konferens.

The location was wonderful - a beautiful setting by the sea and a lovely village. The buildings were very much in keeping with the setting. The breakfasts were excellent.
Three complaints: 1. Facilities in the rooms. No fridge, tea-making facilities or safe - standard in most hotels in Europe this price-range. 2. First room - no soap, no shampoo. Second room - we had soap and shampoo - but no hair-dryer, not even bed-side tables. First bathroom tiny - nowhere to put anything. 3. Had to ask reception for everything - so up and down 80 stairs each time. On arrival, they should have offered a map, a wifi voucher, explanation that you could walk up round the back (much easier). They were polite and helpful - but not proactive. I'm sorry I missed the aerobics but no notices in English - one translation at reception would have helped.

Stunning location with restaurant overlooking the water and delicious food. Excellent breakfast buffet with great variety. Highlight was the relaxing outdoor heated pool. Staff were warm and welcoming. Great common areas facing the water. Sauna and pool should be booked in advance. Spa had great service and not crowded. Amazing surroundings with opportunity to take a dip in the sea. Well-designed facilities close to the ferry. Fair policy for spa access for children.

Beautiful views, and it was nice and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and the ferry was very convenient.
They offered no hellp with getting our luggage up 4 flights of stairs outside in the rain! too expensive for what you get. you have to pay for wifi and the sauna no phone in the room no coffee pot or anyway to heat water for tea in the room or even in the building!

Amazing Waterfront Location & Invigorating Activities
The hotel is located in a charming and peaceful village, surrounded by picturesque cliffs, beaches, and forests. The waterfront location is stunning and perfect for nature lovers. One of the best parts of our stay was participating in Swedish exercise at the waterfront deck with other guests, which was both fun and invigorating. there was a ferry stop nearby, which was extremely convenient for exploring other nearby areas.
The smaller room size which felt cramped for a family of three. we were disappointed to find that communal spaces were locked, limiting our access to indoor spaces during certain times.

the well-designed hotel is conveniently located just 30m from the ferry. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the common areas offered a great view of the water. We enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service in the restaurant. the spa, although we couldn't try it due to our young daughter, received great reviews for its service and lack of overcrowding. We also loved being able to take a dip in the sea. it was an amazing experience that we would definitely repeat.
